Announcement! Updates to the Verdant Growth Daily
So many of you have probably seen my video update of the Verdant Growth Daily (Episode 030, yes I know I haven’t posted it on my blog yet…I’m trying to get caught up and will eventually start posting them the day they go live). In it, I talked about the things I’m satisfied with about the daily, but also the things that I’m not happy with. Namely…
- Happy: More videos, more time in front of the camera, less editing.
- Unhappy: Not as much community as I’d like. Less editing means a less well-thought-out message. My thumbnails suck, and on YouTube, thumbnails are EVERYTHING in getting more clicks.
Proposed Changes Coming to the VG Daily
I propose some changes be made to the daily, starting effectively!
- Schedule the daily at a regular time every day so that people can know when to come on and find me, and to start having a regular audience.
- Do the daily fewer days of the week, but do them better: longer time live, take time to make a proper thumbnail. This also gives me more days to think about content and work on my blog, which I’ve been neglecting lately due to all my “eco leadership time” going into the VG Daily. This also means my daily content will be better thought out.
- Have a home-base online somewhere so people who enjoy living sustainably can interact with each other, even when I’m not live.
The Changes to the VG Daily, Effective Immediately!!
The Verdant Growth Daily Schedule & Format
When: Sunday-Wednesday, 5-6pm PST (Monday-Thursday, 10am-11am JST)
Format:
– 5:00-5:15pm: Eugene talks about the day’s topic (This will be recorded and put out as a podcast, as always)
– 5:15-6pm: Audience interaction: questions, discussions, storytelling, people joining a zoom call to share experience, ask for help, etc.
There may be days that are exceptions, for example if I have an interview! I also plan to be live on Clubhouse for the Daily when I’m live as well so find me there @VerdantGrowth!
