Solve for Nature: Guest Information
A podcast about people, planet, and the life worth living
Welcome — and thank you for considering being a guest.
Solve for Nature is a podcast hosted by Eugene Bible of Verdant Growth, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The show features scientists, farmers, entrepreneurs, activists, and everyday people who are doing meaningful work at the intersection of humanity and the natural world.
But it isn't a typical interview show — and that's what makes it worth your time.
What makes this show different
Most podcasts give your work a platform. This one gives you something too.
Every conversation starts with your story — what you're working on, why it matters, and the experiences that brought you here. But then we go a little deeper. I'll take you on a guided journey through your own values and lived experience to help you uncover a personal sustainability challenge that is uniquely yours. Something rooted in what you already care about. Something designed to make your life not just more sustainable, but genuinely healthier, happier, and more connected.
This is a guilt-free zone. There's no agenda to make you feel bad about your choices, no pressure to be a perfect environmentalist, and absolutely no preparation required. Just show up as you are and be ready to have an honest conversation.
The immediate goal is simple: to help you connect your values to action — to shift the internal narrative from "what I do doesn't matter" to "I can, and it does." The bigger goal, one conversation at a time, is something more ambitious: a cultural shift toward a world where people actually live by their values.
Guests consistently find the experience unexpectedly meaningful — not just as a promotional opportunity, but as a moment of genuine reflection on why they do what they do.
The Format
The podcast runs in one or two sessions, depending on whether you choose to take on a personal challenge.
Session 1
- Your work & your story (20–30 min) — We talk about what you're working on, why it matters, and what drives you.
- Nature story share (10 min) — I'll ask you to share a meaningful personal experience in nature. This is always one of the best parts of the conversation.
- Personal sustainability challenge (10 min) — I'll invite you to take on a small, personalized challenge rooted in your own values. This is optional, but most guests find it the most rewarding part of the whole experience.
Session 2 (only if you take on the challenge)
- 30–40 min — We reconnect to talk about how your challenge went, what you noticed, and any threads worth picking up from our first conversation.
What's in it for you
- A thoughtful, unhurried conversation about the work you care about most
- No preparation necessary — just bring yourself and your story
- A chance to reflect publicly on your own values and what sustainability means in your own life
- Exposure to an audience of sustainability-minded listeners who are actively looking for people and ideas to follow
- A genuine, personal experience — not just another interview
If you have specific topics you'd like covered or questions you'd like me to ask, send them over and I'll make sure they're part of our conversation.
